Monday morning blues

Getting ready for 3 weeks in Denver. Not looking forward to it. I wonder what will happen later, job or no job?

Got last week a new computer, Dell studio xps. This sucker zooms but thinking of expanding the memory to 12 or 16 mb's it just makes a huge difference when using a 2mg to now 8mg.

1958 to 1964 very formative with European travel

All of my travels during this period shaped my outlook on live forever and got me ready for the great break in 1965.

Most of the traveling was by myself only on 2 trips, to Holland and the 1962 Scandinavian trip was with others.

Also about 1957/58 I started letter writing to Pen Pals all over Europe, this was also interesting input to my confined life in Stuttgart.

All this were outlets for my frustration of not being allowed to do what I wanted. I wanted to be a Seaman's apprentice and travel the world when I finished school in 1957.

The most outstanding travels were the 3 trips to Sweden (1959?, 1962 & 1964) and the Holland trip (1960 or 61).

There were several train / bike / car trips in those 4 years.

Hard to remember when exactly and my photo albums have no dates, some old postcards have dates.

The trips - not in sequence - Vienna, South Tyrol / Bolzano, Sweden twice, Holland, London.

A week at home

No travel this week. At the office in SV didn't do much beside lobbying for another job someplace in SV. No luck so far.
Met Pat and Trini for lunches. Pat was his usual evasive self, lots of deals but all "confidential" in other words nothing. Trini has not much to say but real estate continues to be depressed.
Met with Bin, he had some good deals on retirement finances.

Next week will be a short week in Denver, followed by a shutdown week over Thanksgiving.
